  1. I am English and stayed in the New Cape Grace guest house in April 2008 for nearly a month whilst applying for my husbands visa.
I have total respect for this Guest House and would recommend it to anyone.
    It provides:
    Value for money
Comfortable rooms that are cleaned EVERY day
No unwanted visitors- i.e bugs and reptiles!
And most important it is run by Karim and his son who can't do enough for you.
They are full of information about most subjects and were an enormous help during our particular stay.
    Thank you!

  2. I have just returned from Pakistan, during my visit I stayed in different cities and in different hotels. A week at New Cape Grace Guest House in Islamabad was the best out of all. The Guest house is magnificent and I have never experienced such incredible service before. Having been there first time in the country it was really hot and busy there. I couldn’t wait to get back to the peace and quite of the guest house.

The service was great. The staff there is very friendly and make sure anything you ask for gets done straight away. The management staff is also very helpful and humble.
My room was excellent. Very neat and tidy, Room service and laundry service is great. Food was great as well, cooked by their professional cooks. Pick up and drop off to the airport was also arranged by the guest house upon my request. It was very close to the market so I didn’t had to travel to far if I just want to go out, even the guest house will arrange a cab for you to go anywhere you want to go. Staff is also happy to help and give any information you want for travel and places of interest. Nice garden area in the guest house to relax out side, not noisy at all, nice and calm environment.
The guest house is run by father and son, both very wonderful person and ready to help anytime.

All in all I would say the out of all the places I stayed in Pakistan, New Cape Grace Guest House was the best place to stay. I enjoyed my stay there at a lot. Good value for money with great services provided.

Carry on your good work...Good Luck!!!

  3. I have just returned from Islamabad about one week before the deadly attack on the Marrot Hotel. One thing i realized atfter that incident was the fact that i made the right chose of accomodation during my time stay in this city.
For me to actually accept to stay in The NEW CAPE GRACE GUEST HOUSE for the third time i have been in Islamabad, mean a lot for me taking into consideration my professional backgroung as a Security Officer. The house is situated in a very quiet enviroment with no security proble as it is om one of the main high ways in the city. The services are just to excellent. especially the internat facility you will enjoy direct from you room if you have a wireless PC. The friendly attitude from the manager down to the cleaners. The food is home made and can order itt at any time .
Taxi service with the Great BABA (driver ) is no problem. I T problems can be fix within a minute by the young professional officer (Shameer0.
Just give a try and you will never forget. .

  4. I had the opportunity to stay at Cape Grace in August 2008 for a week.
I booked by calling the owner Mr. Karim himself after getting his number off the web-site.
This was my first stay at a guest house during my travels. Previously i had been staying at hotels.
The stay at Cape Grace was extremely great. The room was pretty large with a huge double bed, one of the most comfortable ive ever seen. Room service was spot on. Parking was provided within the premises and outside.
Security was intact and above all the staff was not too picky on my late night arrivals after the whole day out. They were understanding that a person on vacation would come in late. Me being from karachi have a habit of staying out late.
The location is excellent. Placed on the main road i use to take morning walks around the area. Cabs were available from early morning right in front. The road is not too heavy with traffic. If u walk to the streets right behind the guest house u can even hit one of the hiking trails leading to the mountains !!
For the location, convenience, price and quality of living i can not suggest a better place in proper islamabad. And by the way i am very picky when it comes to convenience and quality at the same time the bucks i pay. I will definately stay at Cape Grace next time i visit in december. My straight recommmendations - dont go to a hotel go to Cape Grace. :)

  5. My visit in this guest house was astonishing. I stayed in July 2008 and the services from them i got superlative in my whole life. I'll love to stay in this guest house consistently when i'll approach in Pakistan.

Food was enormous and on time. I've no grumble frm this guest house. The owner himself is always ready to lend a hand. They are providing transports whenever we necessitate and for ever and a day punctual. This is the grand thing that you dont have to go out to Internet cafe as the Internet facilities are providing by them in the guest house.

This was my supreme stay in this guest house of my entire life.

  8. This hotel is one of the best I have been to. The attention to detail in the rooms and the attention to the clean bath and bed areas are wonderful. As a previous hotel manager, I say “keep up the great job. We were also impressed with the front desk staff. Thanks again for a relaxing stay.
This was the best hotel of our entire trip. Everyone and everything exceeded our expectations.

I really wonder how Mr. Kareem manages all this single handedly, thumbs up to him.

The thing I like most about this place is the calm and quite environment, and prompt service in each and every manner.

I would recommend this place to anyone any day.

  10. An Excellent Experience:

I went for a business trip and just by sending the email to the manager Mr Karim everything was arranged with explicit timings. It included my pick up from the airport to the pick and drop service where ever i wanted to go. During my stay i had a very cooperative and pleasent staff at my service all the time. The room was very cozy, had round the clock wireless internet service and cleanliness was exceptional.
Mr Karim and his son Sameer's devotion is appreciable. I am sure whoever goes and stays with them will have a unforgetable experience and definitely make new friends.
I high recommend this guest house for staying in islamabad for business or other purposes.

  11. The owners and staff of the New Cape Guesthouse in Islamabad went above and beyond to make our visit the best it could be. We

spend nearly a month there and in the end felt we were staying with family. I have stayed at many of places all over the

world, but can honestly stay that the New Cape Guesthouse will always be at the top of my list. I highly recommend it.

  12. I have been a frequent traveler to Islamabad and started staying in New Cape Grace House in 2004, as recommended by

colleagues. Since the first time I stayed I was surprised by the persomalized treatment accorded by the staff that made me

feel like I was an old patron of the Guest House.

The Guest House is located in an central area and convenient if you decide to walk to most locations of shops, banks,

restaurants etc. The rooms are big by usual standards giving the visitor more convenience to walk around. It is kept clean

and there is a constant supply of fresh towels and linens. It has a 24/7 security and the surrounding neighborhood is

peaceful.Food is very good and after dining out several times, I decided to eat my meals at the guest house.

Karim, the amiable manager is always there to oversee your needs anytime. He provides good shopping tips from the expensive

shops to the walk-in bazaars found in many places of Islamabad. He is now ably assisted by his son and the father and son

tandem has greatly enhanced the efficiency of the staff. Overall, the staff are helpful, courteous, and honest and never in

my numerous stay at New Cape Grace did I feel ill at ease with any of the staff.

I did try to stay in other guest houses in Islamabad and there are one too many. But for the convenience, comfort, and value

of money, I have learned that there is no other guest house for me except new Cape Grace Guest House.

  13. I stayed at at five other small hotels and guest houses before I found the New Cape and I believe you would be hard-pressed

to find a better place in Islamabad for the price.

The house is a large villa which is immaculate and spacious with hi-speed Internet, and large rooms with plenty of light. I

was fortunate to have a huge balcony as well.

The house is centrally located in an upscale, quiet and secure residential neighborhood within walking distance between the

two nicest markets in the city, which host good best bookshops, clothing stores, bakeries and restaurants.

However, the traditional Pakistani food served at the guest house is excellent and all the dishes I ordered tasted homemade.

The owner, Karim, is very friendly and will gladly try to assist you with any assistance you may need. (I didn't have a

vehicle and needed to travel around the city for business several days while I was there - Karim always arranged for an

honest driver to take me around for a fair price.)

The staff is also extremely helpful and well-mannered.

For those who have never traveled to Islamabad or have not been there recently, the city experiences frequent blackouts or

"load-shedding" as Pakistanis refer to it, particularly during the warmer months.

Not to worry: Karim has installed a system that saves electricity when the power is on and distributes it during the load-

shedding hours. This way, you have light during the evening and Internet access at all times.

I feel very grateful I found the New Cape Grace.

  14. I stayed at the NewCapeGrace GuestHouse with my 6 year old son and my parents for 5 days. The atmosphere was very nice. It

really makes you feel at home, The staff is multilingual and friendly. The food was delicious. There was full service menu for

breakfast, lunch and dinner and was avaialble in room or at the dining.. Airport pickup was provided by the guest house for

my parents as they travelled one day ahead and for myself as well. We stayed in their newly rennovated suite room and that

was extremely a wonderful choice. WiFi access to the internet with 1MBPS downlink is really amazing and I loved it. My

notebook had a few issues and that was fixed by SameeR.

Mr. Karim Meghji himself takes care of the hotel guests' needs. We were provided rental car along with the driver for in and

out of town visits. Although, the situation in the country is not too stable at the moment but we felt safe at the guest

house and a home like environment was provided. No doubt, the father and the son are full of information and help where

needed. Its been running professionaly by them and they respond to queries efficiently and quickly.

Overall I was quite satisfied with our stay at the guest house and would recommend it to friends and everyone.

  15. I live up in the mountains doing charitable relief work and come down to Islamabad once a month or so for meetings, buying medicines for our health facilities, picking up volunteers, etc. There are several guest houses I've tried out over the last few years, but 8 months ago I began staying at New Cape Grace, and have found a home away from home. When it comes to the combination of price, service and amenities, New Cape Grace is the best guest house in Islamabad. Other guest houses I've tried are more expensive, but I've experienced frequent problems that are very frustrating, especially when you visit a second time and the problems have not been solved by management. This indicates an owner and staff who simply don't care about the comfort of their guests- the internet is consistently down, the hot water is rarely hot (sometimes the water isn't there at all), the rooms are not clean, the pillows are not soft, the furnishings are cheap, the staff is not friendly, attentive and cooperative. New Cape Grace charges less but their amenities, rooms, food and service are comparable to what one would find in an upper scale bed & breakfast guest house in any tourist destination in The States. The thing I most like about New Cape Grace is that the ownership and staff work hard to provide a relaxing and affordable place that people like me will want to come back to again and again. They have earned my highest recommendation.

  16. Journalists on a limited budget should give this guesthouse a serious thought.

Great local food, a clean and quiet environment, and 24-hour uninterrupted wifi makes for a great SOHO to work in. Situated in a high-end residential district, the rooms in this bungalow are spacious, and makes u feel almost at home. The owners speak fluent English and provide great advice, so first-timers to Islamabad will find this very useful.

Transport can be arranged by the guesthouse to anywhere in Pakistan at a good rate. This is one guesthouse that will put long term benefits before short term gains, so u can be assured they are on YOUR side and not out to make a quick buck.

Travellers on official business will definitely find this a gem, although super-budget backpackers who just need a crash pad should look elsewhere.

  18. “3 weeks here and I never missed home!”

I spent the most part of my 3 week vacation staying here as a tourist after originally booking 1 week. First time to Pakistan and I only had a vague idea of what to see in and around Islamabad so I was really surprised and thankful that Mr. Karim and Samir had new suggestions each day for places to visit. These included forts, markets, monuments and gardens. They even arranged for a driver to take me to these sites (some quite far such as Murree and Rohtas fort) at a reasonable cost and helped me arrange my stay at Lahore on short notice. My limited knowledge of Urdu was no problem thanks to their help making phone calls for bus bookings, etc.

There was an interesting variety lodging at NCG including journalists, researchers and people working for NGOs. Naturally as a shy person I didn't intend to meet anyone but the atmosphere was so welcoming at the entrance that I met quite a few and befriended some NGO workers with CDRS who took me up to Kashmir to visit.

I stayed in 3 rooms during my visit, all were very clean and spacious. Showers and beds were comfortable. Always something good on TV too. The guest house is situated in a quiet residential area of Islamabad, not too far from the commercial Blue Area, a 5-minute taxi ride from F7 Jinnah Market and a 10-minute walk away from F6 Supermarket (my fave). Sometimes taxis have trouble finding the guest house's exact location so I used to tell them "7th Avenue, F-6/1, House #8" (even if the guest house might technically be on Justice Abdul Rasheed).

As a recent graduate looking not to spend much, I found the pricing reasonable and the value great. Good security, courteous staff with also night pickups/dropoffs available for a reasonable cost. I found NCG to be very accommodating and like a home away from home. I believe it would also make a great spot for short stays.

  21. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel accommodation guest house in Islamabad Pakistan to live, being for a weekend of several months. The owner, Karim, is always eager to help: partly thanks to his advices and the medicine he got me, I was able to recover from an illness that could have made my business trip much less successful. With this guesthouse one gets security, the possibility to eat in your room delicious Pakistani food, and the place is perfect for its calm, I was able to work there in peace. More importantly, the idea that New Cape Grace is a "home away from home" is a reality, and makes the fact to stay in Islamabad much more pleasant. Definitely, the place you need to go to when coming to Islamabad! As for me, I plan to stay at New Cape Grace, each time I go back to the city.

  22. My family and I stayed in NCGGH in our recent first pilgrimage tour in Pakistan and to our surprise, the environment there was just like home. The family room given to us was large with two bedroom and toilet attached. And the food was fantastic too. The arrangement for traveling around in Islamabad arranged by NCGGH was great too. Thank you Mr Karim who as made my family and my stay there very safe and comfortable. It is good to know there is a place like home overseas and we will look forward in going there again in the future.

Room Tip: If you have a family of 4 or 5 people , you can choose the family room course its large and comfort...
